The Council of Leaders in Nickada is crumbling apart. Enemy ships have been seen off the western coast and the southern border is restless. Life continues on within the town of Palator as Blazzer moves there to start a new life and continue her education. Except for her teacher and new sister aren't mortals. Blazzer hopes to finally find a home and family where she belongs, but instead she becomes embroiled in Nickada's ongoing escalating political conflict.
