I learned quite a bit from volume one.
-I need to pay attention to and remember that the reader doesn't have an image of the character pre-made into their minds.
-I found myself falling into the habit of trying to force everything into a set amount of words instead of just writing out the story (I felt much more comfortable and happy with volume two and its shorter chapters).
-I also partially figured out dialogue formatting although problems with that did remain
...and other minor things, I hope one day I am afforded the time to rewrite this and clean it up.
