Vampires have gotten surprisingly progressive, taking up Spanish just to preach the good word of Dragula. It’d be impressive if it wasn’t also so relatedly annoying. xD Also, welcome to Nightcorp, where everybody’s got red eyes and if they don’t they’re exploited minority monsters called ghouls working security that apparently have six genders. Jack requests a meet with the vampy boss and the ghouls give him a less than comfortable escort to the elevator. Don’t give up tryna radicalize ‘em Jack, Vive la resistance! It feels surprisingly easy regardless, but maybe it has something to do with this unruly visitor from before- Yep, surely it does. Flashing back now, apparently Lydia was just here a while ago ready to start chucking wooden stakes around if she had any. Except she doesn’t, so she settles for using magic to basically bully her way into the building and reach the boss, Silas Blofeld. Using the not-Force, she yeets the bigwig into the wall but surprisingly his big wig itself remains tethered. Das a quality wig. Back to Jack, and Silas is still shaken from Lydia’s visit, so it doesn’t take long for him to crack and return Jack’s favor for stopping the menacing wrath of blinding rats in the building. Namedrop the New Bloods, and scene~ Great chapter, plot is trodding along, and while Jack’s a joy to read, I must say Lydia stole the show this time ‘round. #Lydia4SuperSmashBros.

Well, after that little intro scuffle, Lydia's officially been disowned. That's a shame. Though now I imagine it might actually be a bit more freeing for her to do what she needs to without the Blackwell name tying her down to save Jess, possibly? Also we seem to be bringing the plot back to our protag Jack, investigating another missing girl while a witch with a bush- I MEAN, a bush that's a witch gives off the hint that vampires are behind this one too. Oh yeah. It's all coming together.

Now I'm starting to see how this lil story of yours is operating. Every last reference you can squeeze in or parody for the effect of comedy. I love it. Jack tryna find a ride out of either Sonic, Mr. Ed, and a chimneysweep turtle (if I can't get all your specific references I'll come up with my own) is phenomenal, and the turtle chomping on his wrist reminds me of Arthur and Suzaku from Code Geass. Meanwhile, the establishment of illness for Jess as she and Lydia hang out is done spectacularly, all the way up until motherflipping vampires show up. Lydia gives us our first demonstration of real magical attunement revealing that it is very much a physics-based skill. It's just bending physics' laws with your will (loosely said). Still, despite incinerating most of them, the one who grabs her sister manages to escape. Who are the New Bloods, indeed? Find out next time on Magic 8 Ball Z!

When I read "Hairy Pooper," my first thought immediately was dear god, no he didn't- and then you followed with "Uhogwarts" and that quickly became dear god, he really did. Thankfully, Lydia (and I assume the rest of who appears to be primary cast) are just as attuned to their Deadpool senses as Jack and quickly wipe away the notion of a copywrite strike. Lydia and Jess are a fun pair of sisters but god the mom would give me an aneurysm being a traditionalist. Now "Lucky" is off stuck in the 5th dimension somewhere and Lydia wore a skirt for nothing. Cut back to Jack, and- holy giant sentient towers, Batman! The idea of a magically-conceived moving tower terrorizing Egypt is a thought I never would've thunk to have, but now that I've thunked it is way too goddamn funny to ever forget. The expansive lore behind this brick-based menace implies future importance, but with the nature of this work that remains to be seen. I can only hope it does, tho. xD

Jack of All Trades serves as the world's best British Deadpool in literary form. The intro gives me the impression of what you might witness if you could watch what was happening in the lives of DnD NPCs. Also, I'd probably cry blood from my eyes too if I was being haunted by a "polkageist" (best pun ever, by the way). Beautiful blend of fantasy, comedy, and 4th-wall-shattering, all twisted on its face.
